Saturday February 20th - Introductory Gong Workshop
From 10am to 5pm. Cost: £70

"Sound Healing with Gongs".

This is an extra module workshop for the College of Sound Healing training but is open to non-College members also.

This is an introductory workshop on the use of Gongs for Sound Healing & therapy work. It is expected that participants' experience will vary somewhat, & thus the day will be tailored to suit the group. This workshop is especially suitable for those with some knowledge of Sound Healing, but no prior experience of Gongs is necessary.

Saturday March 6th - Chant & Mantra Workshop, Newhaven
This is a one-day workshop. From 10am to 5pm. Cost £70

This workshop will concentrate mainly on Sanskrit mantra, although we may also include chants from other spiritual traditions during the day.

This workshop is an extra module for the College of Sound Healing training, but is also open to non-College members.

Participants will learn simple Sanskrit pronunciation & be given some background knowledge of the tradition of Sanskrit mantra chanting. Basic music will be provided for your ongoing practise. We will learn simple & more complex mantras, & students can expect to end the day in a very high energetic state!

This will be an introductory workshop on the use of Gongs for Sound Healing & therapy work. It is expected that participants' experience will vary somewhat, & thus the day will be tailored to suit the group. This workshop is especially suitable for those with some knowledge of Sound Healing, but no prior experience of Gongs is necessary. Overnight accomodation at the venue is possible if you are travelling a long way - this should be booked in advance with the owner - the information flyer has contact details.

Saturday April 17th - Harmonium Stage 1, Collingwood House, Hawkhurst, Kent.
This will be a one-day workshop. From 10am to 5pm. Cost: £70

This workshop is for beginners on the harmonium. Sheila has developed this unique workshop to meet an obvious need for people who want to learn to play the harmonium (miniature organ) to accompany chanting. It helps if you already have some knowledge of the piano keyboard, but this is not essential, as tuition will be given. You will be given very simple music to take away for your own ongoing practise.

This workshop will also include work with the smaller & more basic brother of the harmonium - the Sruti box. Numbers will be limited so that individual attention can be given to participants. An information flyer is available - please email for more details: sheila@healingsound.net

Sat & Sun May 15th & 16th - Gong Intensive Weekend.
From 10am to 5pm each day. Cost: £130

The two-day Gong Intensive is an immersion in the Gong teachings for a whole weekend This weekend Intensive is open to beginners & current gong players alike, as appropriate tuition will be given according to your level of ability, & diverse gong-related subjects covered. There will be opportunity to use many of the different high quality gongs in Sheila's collection including the amazing 60" gong, & practise various techniques. We will also cover other instruments used in the Gongbath, & come together to give a gong meditation. Over the two days participants will have ample opportunity to deepen their own personal experience with this powerful healing instrument. This workshop is for those who have done Harmonium Stage 1, &/or already have some experience with the harmonium & using it to accompany their chanting practise. Participants will learn more advanced mantras & further develop their keyboard techniques. Simple & more complex music will be available for you to take home & continue with your practise. This workshop is also suitable for those who wish to start & run a small Chanting group of their own. Numbers will be limited so that individual attention can be given to participants.
